Q4 2020 Business Finance & Solutions App Trends in Australia on Android

In the fourth quarter of 2020, the Android platform in Australia saw varying trends among the top Business Finance & Solutions applications. Sensor Tower's data offers us a glimpse into the performance of these applications during this period.

Square Point of Sale: Payment, published by Block, Inc., showed a spike in downloads mid-quarter with over 6K downloads in the week of November 16, but then a decline towards the end of December to just over 1.6K. Weekly active users peaked at approximately 12.8K at the end of November and then decreased to roughly 7.8K by the year's end.

Hostplus, despite not having weekly active users data, had a notable surge in downloads to nearly 13K in the week of November 30. The downloads then fluctuated, ending the quarter with over 1K.

Xero Accounting from Xero Accounting, with origins in New Zealand, had an inconsistent download trend with a peak of over 2K in early December. Weekly active users showed a mid-quarter high of over 5.5K, ultimately settling at about 4.5K active users by the end of December.

Xero Me, also by Xero Accounting, experienced its highest downloads of nearly 2.9K in the week of November 23. The app's weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at approximately 9.4K the following week but then dropping to around 6.4K by the close of the quarter.

Shopify - Your Ecommerce Store, from Canadian publisher Shopify Inc., displayed a high download count of 2.4K in the week of October 19, with a decrease to 1.3K by the end of December. However, its weekly active users reached a peak of nearly 14.9K at the end of November, concluding the quarter with over 11K active users.
